Fully managed flaring solution
Flaring as a Service – Predictable Costs, Proven Performance
For many sites, especially those with temporary operations or uncertain flare duration requirements, buying a flare outright can be costly and inefficient. That’s why Landfill Systems offers Flaring as a Service – a fully managed flaring solution that eliminates capital investment and replaces it with a simple, fixed daily fee.
Following a free site survey and technical consultation, we supply and install a flare system customised for your gas flow and compliance needs. You gain a fully managed service with no unexpected maintenance bills or operational risks.
What’s Included in the Daily Fee:
- Flare equipment hire – tailored to your application
- Routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Emergency repairs and component replacements (conditions apply)
- Remote monitoring and performance optimisation
- Downsizing options as gas volumes decline (conditions apply)
You simply pay the daily fee plus installation and delivery charges, giving you complete cost transparency and flexibility throughout your project lifecycle.
This service is ideal for:
- Permanent, temporary, or transitional landfill, AD or O&G sites
- Pilot or demonstration plants
- Emergency or short-term flaring needs
- Sites nearing decommissioning
Budget-conscious operators who require full regulatory compliance
With Flaring as a Service, Landfill Systems takes care of the engineering, operations, and reliability-so you can focus on running your site
Our low-calorie flares are delivered as one piece, requiring no assembly. On-site commissioning is minimal due to the extensive pre-delivery testing.
Our modular design allows easy replacement of the combustion assembly of a low-calorie flare to accommodate future changes of the calorific value of the waste gas stream. No need to replace the flare.
The use of inverter drives and modern control systems, ensures that the energy consumption of a low-calorie flare is always the optimum needed to the treat the gas flow being managed.
Whether your gas stream is a low flow of high calorie gas, or a higher flow of low-calorie gas, our low-calorie flare will combust it safely and efficiently. World class exhaust gas emissions are achieved throughout the wide operating range of each flare model.
Low power consumption through efficient design. No propane or butane needed for ignition or combustion support. No gas cylinders to manage or handle. No lubricants or drive belts are needed, keeping maintenance costs low.
Low environmental impact
The materials of construction are easily recycled. The compact and lightweight design minimises shipping and handling costs. The modular design allows a change in capacity without the need to replace the flare.
High quality construction
Careful selection of materials ensures a high-quality product with a long and extendable lifespan. The materials used are mostly inherently corrosion resistant, with minimal use of paint.
Low emissions
Reliable, repeatable, world class exhaust gas emissions levels, are second to none and are achieved without operator intervention.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this service designed for?
Flaring as a Service is ideal for landfill sites, AD plants, and oil & gas operations with short-term or uncertain flaring needs. It’s especially useful when capital budgets are tight or when long-term ownership isn’t justified.
What’s included in the daily fee?
The daily fee covers equipment rental, all routine servicing, repairs, replacements, and remote monitoring. It also includes the option to downsize your flare as gas volumes decrease, subject to terms.
What costs are not included?
You’ll need to cover initial installation and delivery costs. These are quoted in advance, with no hidden fees. Site preparation or civil works, if required, are also your responsibility.
How long is the minimum hire period?
We typically offer a minimum hire period of 3 months, but this can be flexible depending on your site needs. Long-term contracts can be negotiated at a reduced daily rate.
What happens if the gas volume drops significantly?
If your site’s gas flow decreases, we can replace the unit with a smaller flare to match your needs-subject to availability and applicable contract terms.
Is the flare monitored remotely?
Yes. All our rental systems are fitted with remote telemetry for real-time performance monitoring. This allows us to quickly respond to faults or unusual operating conditions.
Is this service compliant with environmental regulations?
Absolutely. All equipment provided meets or exceeds relevant UK and international emissions and safety standards. We can also assist with documentation for permitting if required.
Can the service be extended or converted into a purchase?
Yes. If your needs change, we can extend the rental, or offer buy-out options on the equipment already in use. We’re happy to adapt to long-term operational plans.
